It’s been a while since we last tested a big tablet and I do mean bigger than 10 inches in diagonal. However, that time has come again and it’s up to the Cube i7 Remix to stand out from the crowd. We unboxed the device below and you can find it at Gearbest, for a mere $180.
This product is an 11.6 inch slate, with a Full HD resolution and a quad core Intel Z3735F processor, clocked at 1.8 GHz. In the box you can find an USB cable, an USB OTG cable, charger and charger adapter. Cube i7 Remix has 2 GB of RAM, 32 GB of storage, a mini HDMI port and two microUSB ports, as well as a microSD card slot.
There’s a 5 MP back camera, a 2 MP front shooter and an 8400 mAh battery inside, good enough for 8 hours of video playback. Cube i7 Remix measures 8.5 mm in thickness, weighs 737 grams and it’s quite massive and solid, with a well built metal frame. Remix OS is the platform on board, based on Android, but borrowing from desktop OSes, by using a taskbar, minimization features for windows and resizable windows, to name a few.
