Remember my review of the Rocomo GT-I9500? well, I’ve been on the hunt for cheap Android kit again and this time the 5″ Elephone P6000
has caught my eye. It’s on presale at the moment but will cost you just $169.99, which works out at around £108.60.
This 4G handset is dual SIM and runs Android 4.4 with the promise of upgraded firmware to Lollipop in February next year. It’s equipped with 2GB RAM, 16GB ROM and is powered by a quad-core 1.5GHz CPU with 64 bit architecture. You can also stick a microSD card in. Around back there’s a 13 megapixel camera with flash and, up front, a 2 megapixel one. That 5″ screen is 1280×720 (720 HD) and you also get Bluetooth, GPS, WIFI and an FM radio.
For £108.60 a quad-core 1.5GHz CPU and dual-SIM capability is definitely tempting. The big question is, can I hold out until after the festivities or do I take the plunge with the presale now ? :)
